This is an annual reminder to tell you about the the people who control the Infinite Flight skies, because some may not even be aware there is a entire team of controllers.
The IFATC team is the sole provider of ATC services for the expert server on Infinite Flight. We currently have over 426 active controllers, with around 70-140 unique controllers controlling an airport, for at least an hour, each and every day. In the past 6 months alone, from May to October, our controllers have a combined 2,977,404 operations.
The team also features many real-world air traffic controllers, CFIs, private pilots, commercial airline pilots. And it’s run by a real-world air traffic controller, Tyler Shelton, the ATC Community Manager for Infinite Flight.
There’s a recruiting team that’ll guide you through the testing process and an entire training team that will train you one on one to help you get over that final hurdle, if needed.
Take it from Danny, an IFATC Officer and Trainer:
IFATC is not only a fantastic way to increase your interaction with fellow community members, but it’s also fantastic way of seeing another side of the aviation world: ATC. You get a chance to make really strong friendships both in and out of IFATC as a result of the interactions with fellow controllers and pilots alike, as well as learn a lot of interesting things about aviation, from pilot-controller communications to overall flying concepts alike. It’s a tremendous opportunity to learn new things while having fun, and it’s one of the best and most rewarding ways, in my opinion, to challenge yourself and discover a different side of aviation.
