My Journey to IFATC – Training

May, 1, 2020 by

I passed the written test the first time I took it. We then moved onto the preparation for my practical – ATC Training. I requested training using the Google Form and was contacted by the wonderful MJHendo, MJ for short, within 48 hours.

MJ took the terrible controller that craved controlling EGLL and turned it into a controller worthy of joining the IFATC. At first, I asked to run sessions weekly, but when my subscription expired in January 2020, I had to stop training sessions. I re-purchased my subscription in late March due to the COVID-19 pandemic and promptly got in contact with MJ to schedule daily training sessions.

These sessions paid of greatly, as I could tell, and so could MJ, that I was getting better with every session. By one Tuesday MJ said it may be time to start thinking about scheduling my practical.

You can request training here from the training team if you meet the minimum requirements to begin training.

On the next post I’ll be covering my practical test.
