There is a way to handle conflict and a way not to

October, 31, 2020 by ,

People will make mistakes and you’ll be part of some kind of conflict at some point in your life, but handling something in private is much more productive then a public display of dissatisfaction. I’ve tried both, so I have experience. Someone please send me this if I forget.

Gathering a crowd in the public arena won’t change the ultimate outcome. Whether that be for a level 2 report, someone flips you off in traffic, or if your sister eats the last ice cream.

Sit down with the person who offended you or the correct authority, then if the outcome is not what you expected bring in a third party. Whatever gets you to the correct outcome, even if it’s not one you first wanted.
