IFATC has high expectations for controllers’ performance. Most controllers have been under training, either for local or radar frequencies. Some of them have failed out, others have lost motivation, and most have succeeded.
The most important concept to have in mind when under training is that this is not a sudden change or improvement, but a process in which you will learn from your mistakes. It’s a marathon not a race.
Nobody’s perfect and nobody is free from errors. We’re humans. The important thing, though, is to take advantage of these mistakes and use them as a learning lesson.
Always be open to feedback and be perseverant. That mindset will help you tons!
